Do you have a knack for solving problems? Have ideas to proactively monitor and avoid production issues even before they happen? IDEXX is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support and contribute to cloud hosted, high traffic APIs that enabled internal and 3rd party software to integrate with IDEXX diagnostic services.
The Gateway team is a highly motivated and agile team that is dedicated to implementing and supporting APIs and systems for internal and third-party software platforms to offer the full suite of IDEXX diagnostic products to veterinary practices around the world.

In This Role:
Investigate, problem solve, and identify trends with escalations from Tier II Customer Support
Help ensure that our customers have the best possible IDEXX diagnostic experience
You will work closely with the development team, customer support representatives, and other customer-facing software group support staff to support a suite of highly integrated services
You will learn to be a participating member on a highly effective Agile team delivering industry leading features to solve for a single interface to manage many different entities and all their business needs
What You Will Need to Succeed:
Professional, courteous, and effective communication skills
Ability to collate information from multiple sources to discover the root cause of customer issues
Familiarity with web-based technologies such as APIs and HTML
Familiarity with a programming language (e.g., Java or JavaScript)
Familiarity with relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL)
An ability and desire to learn technical details and skills as required to support our customers
What other skills can be useful:
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services
Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs
Experience with multiple languages including Java, JavaScript, AngularJS, Node.JS, CSS, and HTML5
Experience with Oracle SQL and NoSQL databases
